In today's update, we have added a brand new challenge type that community managers can create: Auto-checked Challenges (Quizzes)!
Creating a Quiz Challenge
To create an auto-checked quiz challenge, click on the "Challenges" admin tab on the left of your community's wall, then click on the "Create" button on the top of the challenge page to access the challenge creation page like normal, then see the new Challenge Type option on the right:

Mentor Reviewed challenges are all the normal challenges you are used to, but expand the drop down and click on Auto Checked, and you will gain access to new options to create auto-checked challenges comprised of both single choice and multiple choice questions:

New Settings for Quiz Challenges
1. Max Number of Attempts
Defaulted to "off", since quiz challenges are auto-checked, the "Max Number of Attempts" option allows you to control how many attempts any student is allowed to have before they are locked out of taking the quiz again:

If set to 1, then everyone taking the quiz will only have a single chance to take it before they are locked out. Managers may still give additional attempts past the limit just like they can with current mentor reviewed challenges:

2. Types of Quiz Questions
Below the challenge description field, there are new options specific to these new auto-checked challenges, most notably the Add Question and Shuffle Quiz Answers button:

When you click on the Add Question button, you can choose to add a Single-Choice or Multiple-Choice Question:

The difference between these two are:
- Single-Choice Questions will only have one correct answer, and students may only select one answer at a time
- Multiple-Choice Questions can have one or more correct answers, and students may choose one to all of the answers.
- Multiple-Choice Questions will only be marked correct if students select ALL of the correct answers and NO incorrect answers.
An example how these two types of questions will look to students who are taking a quiz:

When Shuffle Quiz Answers is set to be on, every time a student goes to take a quiz, the answers will be randomly shuffled:

3. Building Quiz Questions
When you click on one of the question types, a window will pop up to allow you to build the question:

All questions, answers, and explanations are full HTML compatible, so you may add text formatting, pictures, or even embedded links. You can also mark an answer as being the correct one by clicking the radio button/checkbox on the top right of each answer.
The Explanation field is optional, but it can give more context to students who take the quiz as to why each answer is correct or incorrect when they choose it and submit their quiz:

These settings will look like this when taking the quiz:

Note:
If this was the correct answer, then the explanation field should explain why the choice is correct

4. Analytics
Analytics regarding these new quiz challenges are handled exactly like current mentor reviewed challenges, the only difference being that there is no "checker", each submission will instead instantly be marked as either Pass or Fail. Both the summary analytics and challenge progress charts will be unchanged for this update.
You may view specific attempts each student has made just like you would check the solutions for their other challenges though the Challenge Admin tab:

Please note that a quiz will only be marked as a pass if a student gets EVERY QUESTION correct
With the addition of auto-checked quiz challenges, there are now many more ways to evaluate the progress and understanding of your students without the need to have a mentor evaluate every single submission by hand.
