Now you can archive some unused/deprecated challenges in your community.
How to archive
Click on 'Challenges' admin tab (left tab) and go to challenge management list page. Click the "More" button under a challenge item, and if you have the related permission, you will be able to see the "Archive" button, then just click it to archive the challenge.

What will happen when you archive a challenge
The challenge's visibility will be auto-set to "hidden", and it won't allow any new submissions.
What kind of challenges can be archived
As long as a challenge is not being used in a learning path, it can be archived. Even a challenge that still has unchecked submissions can be archived, allowing you to keep checking those submissions.
Keep in mind; if you fail a submission of an archived challenge, you can't give the member another chance to submit a solution, since an archived challenge won't allow for any new submissions. One use case is, if you have a new challenge to replace this archived challenge, when you fail a submission, you may want to guide that member to the new challenge url in the feedback.

How to unarchive a challenge
You can go to the "Archived challenges" list from the dropdown in challenge list page, it will list all current archived challenges.

If you have related permissions, you will be able to see the "Unarchive" button to unarchive it.
